I found this Hungarian Femaru 37m in.380 acp at a gun show yesterday. By the serial number it was made in 1944. The blue finish is in very good condition and the bore is shine and has strong rifling.

On the left side of the slide it's mark FEMARU-FEGYVER-ESGEPGYAR RT 37M. There's a Hungarian army acceptance stamp on the left side of the trigger guard.

The wood grips are in great shape. It only came with one magazine and on the bottom of the magazine it's mark 37M. Now I need to find an extra magazine at a price which I can live with. Yes I know they are not cheap. Sometime this week I'll take it to the shooting range to see how it shoots.Mid-age. I'm really curious to know where you found a list of production dates.

I have several that I would like to find the year of production for.I also have an oddball Femaru that has a serial number over 100,000 with a 'C' prefix. The gun is.32 ACP, and is identical to the German contract P37 guns with the thumb safety added, a German style slide inscription and an added shield logo with the initials 'FFG' inside.

It has said that 'FFG' was used from 1938-1946, although the little info I found for this particular gun states that it would have had to have been made sometime between April 1944 and November 1944, when the Russians surrounded Budapest. That's where I got the little bit of information about my 'C' pistol. He really doesn't say much about it, though.(BTW: The pic in my post is from that website. Mine is buried somewhere in all my junk.)As an aside, about 11 years ago, I was fortunate enough to stumble (pure dumb luck) onto a pretty nice 29m at a gun show in another neighboring small town.

When I disassembled that gun, I was in awe at the level of workmanship; It's second to none.With an added note of irony, it came with a 37M magazine; About 3 years later I purchased a P37 that had a 29M magazine! I mean, that's absolute dumb luck!If you think 37M and P37 mags are hard to find, try finding a 29M mag.
