Installation went smoothly.Godsake that is how remaster should have been done in the first place.the changes are not that major as like the remake original scale backgrounds by Syu, Jake L.Rowell and/or myself.This is good for blending in better and less pixelation; it doesn't add heavy significant detail like the the CG shots of Syu for example.I followed some of these threads here and I understand there is some sort of mild competition in upscaling textures and backgrounds with AI driven vs manual methods of editing.I will try to explain my opinion with analogy. Vector graphics vs bitmaps or triangles. Both have it's place, to consumer there might be no difference but one cannot replace the other in selected areas. And how industry spews halfbaked remasters long after modders do like 3/4 of the work.But same is happening with emulators, virtual machines.What I liked about the whole mod are all other changes that were not introduced by SquareEnix. Or how all FFXIIIs on PC were screwed in some way.Or how Tekken 7 is f-up on PC in places.Or that HOMM3 remaster by UBI.Remastering is not only about upscaling 2d graphics. It's sometimes about 'decompiling' asm to understand what is going on or fix bugs. Recreating assets.
