According to Microsft, the USB version is 'Microsoft 2.4GHz Transceiver v7.0'I want to get a new wireless mouse that comes with an USB that woud also work with my keyboard, but I can't buy the same mouse alone anywhere in my country (I'm from Peru and they only sell the kit). So is there any other mouse or usb of different version which is compatible with my keyboard?I have seen the 1000 version but it seems that the usb is different, and if I buy a newer version mouse such as 3500 or 4000, the usb looks like it would only support the mouse (it's smaller). You are going to have to replace the pair, or buy a standalone mouse with a second receiver.Unfortunately, Microsoft does not provide software to re-pair devices, so even if you bought a replacement unit, you could not re-assign the mouse/keyboard/dongle pairings to use the old keyboard and new mouse on one receiver.Best case I turned up in my searching was that some people contacted MS support, and were able to get a replacement set.
